The purpose of these monthly reflection journal prompts is to give you an understanding and assessment of where you are right now. Use this knowledge to make positive changes, build new habits, and plan for the upcoming month.

How to Write a Monthly Reflection

Writing a monthly reflection is a great way to check in with yourself. You’re essentially doing a review on everything that’s happened in the past month.

This might includes your goals and dreams, the key events that happened, the lessons learned, the challenges you faced, as well as the achievements you made. You may also want to reflect on your feelings and emotions, your current habits and routines and recurring thought patterns.

There is no right or wrong way to journal so feel free to write what’s on your mind. If you don’t know where to start or want to focus on a particular subject, then journal prompts can help.

It’s important to remember that reflection journaling is not a judgment exercise but a self-discovery tool to help you better understand yourself. The more you know yourself, the easier it is for you to make decisions that aligns for your goals, values and your future-self.
