If you’ve been asking friends and family about whether or not you should leave your job, here’s my advice: No, don’t quit your job.
The mere fact that you are seeking opinions from others if you should quit, then it’s probably a sign that you’re not yet mentally and/or emotionally ready to take that step.
While it’s okay to seek advice from others, ultimately, the decision to quit your job should be yours and yours alone. You are the only person who knows what’s best for you. If you’re unsure, take some time to reflect on what you want in your career and life. Consider speaking to a career counselor or career coach who can help you sort out your thoughts and make a plan. But at the end of the day, the decision to quit should be yours to make.
Remember, no one knows you better than you know yourself. Trust yourself and your instincts – you are the validation to every decision you choose to make in your life, including quitting your day job.
