It’s that time of the year to take a deep look into your life.

How were the past 365 days for you?

Did you achieve your New Year’s resolutions, complete your to-do lists, and check off your bucket list?

Let’s take a moment to reflect on how the year went, what worked well or didn’t, and make plans for the New Year.

The purpose of these year-end reflection journal prompts is to help you look inward, review and reflect on all the things that happened, including the lessons learned, the triggers you experienced, and the new discoveries that you’ve made about yourself.

How To Do A Year End Reflection

Essentially, a year end reflection is a review of everything that you’ve experienced in the past year.

This includes your goals, dreams, key events, lessons learned, challenges faced, and achievements made. It’s also a great time to reflect on your feelings, emotions, habits, routines, and recurring thought patterns.

You can approach your year-end review from a broad perspective or dive into a more detailed month-by-month analysis starting from January to December.

If you’ve been journaling regularly, this is a good time to revisit and reflect on those entries as well.

Remember, there’s no right or wrong way to journal, so feel free to let your thoughts flow and write from the heart. If you’re not sure where to start or want some inspiration on a specific topic, these year-end journal prompts can definitely help.

NOTE: Journaling is all about self-discovery and reflection. It’s not about judging yourself but rather about learning more about who you are and making plans and decisions that align with your values, dreams, and the person you want to become.
