A quick and effective way to increase your blessing is by changing the way you say your words.

Change all you “have to” to “get to”.

“Have to” implies an obligation.

While “get to” implies a privilege.

For example, rather than saying “I have to go to work today,” instead say, “I get to go to work today.”

With “get to” its empowering and free. It is a choice that you have that may not be available to others (ie. not everyone has a job or is capable to work).

How you say your words can impact your approach to life, either with more positivity and gratitude or negativity and scarcity. When said with enough repetition (continuous affirmation), it can alter your belief, experiences and reality.

Here are few more example of “have to” that could be reframed to “get to”:

Instead of saying, “I have to”Say, “I get to”
“I have to do the laundry”“I get to do the laundry and have clean clothes to wear”
“I have to attend a meeting”“I get to attend a meeting and collaborate with my colleagues”
“I have to exercise”“I get to exercise and improve my physical and mental health”
“I have to pick up my kids”“I get to pick up my kids and spend more time with them”

This change is subtle yet powerful.

By focusing on the opportunities you have rather than the obligations you face, you can cultivate a more positive outlook on life. It may even surprise you at the impact it has on your mental health, self-relationship and connection with others.
